The 78-inch Lyon Dining Table in Seared Oak by Nuevo. Nuevo SR line’s approach to wood finishing sets them apart from many manufacturers. They prefer to work with the natural characteristics of the wood and use chemical reactions to create the colours within the wood itself rather than applying stains on the surface. To do this they have drawn on traditional techniques used by fine cabinet makers and master craftsmen of old, adapting them to suit contemporary times. The resultant colours are hard wearing and resistant to scratches and dents as they penetrate deep into the grain of the timber. To enhance and protect these effects they use the highest quality finishing oil, manufactured in the United Kingdom.
